      More About Nicholas Garcés

      Mr. Garcés is admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court, Central District of California, and for practice before the U.S. Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR)/Immigration Court.

      Before joining Civica Law Group, APC, Mr. Garcés served as a Staff Attorney for a nonprofit organization, where he championed the rights and welfare of vulnerable children and youth. Mr. Garcés also previously served as a City Prosecutor and Special Counsel with another office where he represented many Southern California cities in efforts to protect and uphold the health, safety, and betterment of local communities. His local government work included prosecuting criminal violations, enforcing state and local laws through civil and administrative remedies, and fostering collaborative solutions with respect and compassion when possible.

      Earlier in his career, Mr. Garcés worked in criminal defense, traffic defense and managed his own practice. His diverse professional background also includes pre-law experience in journalism, where he served as an Editor for a Los Angeles area radio news station, bringing a unique perspective to his legal practice.

      Outside of legal practice, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and occasionally surfing waves of Southern California’s local beaches.
