On September 22nd, Governor Gavin Newsom signed SB 1465 – a significant development in enhancing public safety in non-residential buildings.

SB 1465 aims to:

  1. Address the critical issue of unsafe living conditions in non-residential buildings
  2. Streamline substandard building enforcement
  3. Save lives and prevent tragedies like the Oakland Ghost Ship Fire
